About EECMA

The Environmental and Emerging Claim Manager Association (EECMA) is an informal group of property and casualty insurers and reinsurers. EECMA members are focused on continued education (with CLE/CE credits) about the many issues surrounding emerging risks, environmental, asbestos, and other long-term exposure litigation that continues to challenge insurers and our policyholders.

In order to stay abreast of these challenges, since 1985 EECMA has created an event for members to gather and share their considerable knowledge and concerns in a productive, fun, and cost-effective way. Every Spring, EECMA organizes an annual conference on industry-specific and cutting-edge topics presented by U.S. and international attorneys, consultants, and insurance professionals who are experts in their respective fields.

Traditionally, senior and mid-level management (re)insurer representatives have attended the conference. Membership is open to all of those in the insurance industry engaged in solving the challenges from emerging risks, environmental, and tort claims. EECMA welcomes their legal, science, medical and consulting partners as well.

The EECMA conference provides an excellent opportunity for companies to gather together to discuss issues that are of high importance and to learn of emerging legal, technical, and regulatory developments that impact everyone.

EECMA also serves as a valuable networking venue to meet others in the insurance, legal, and consultant professions who are grappling with the same challenging insurance issues. For three decades, EECMA has consistently provided an informative, insightful, and fun conference in the insurance industry, as well as continuing to be a great financial value.
