Melina Kountouris is an Associate in Selman Breitman’s Los Angeles office and a member of the firm’s Insurance practice group.  Melina helps insurance companies in coverage-related matters involving first- and third-party cases arising from a variety of policies, including general liability, errors and omissions, and property-casualty.  Melina is an active member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.

After graduating from UCLA with a B.A. in English, Melina worked as an intern at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, then went on to earn her J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. While attending law school, she interned with the Santa Monica City Attorney’s Office and the Consumer Law Section of the California Office of the Attorney General – Department of Justice. 

Melina and her husband reside in Los Angeles.  When not assisting clients with their legal needs, she spends her time working out and baking specialty cakes. She holds a Patisserie & Baking Diploma from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts.
