James Giacchetti is an Associate in Selman Breitman’s San Francisco office and is a member of the firm’s Insurance practice group. His clients include regional, national, and international insurance companies. James represents insurers in insurance coverage inquiries, disputes, and litigation. He also has experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in complex state and federal actions.

Extensive experience in litigation enables James to evaluate, prosecute and defend complex legal matters from inception through trial. He has worked with some of the most highly acclaimed trial lawyers in California and represents clients across the country. James collaborates closely and efficiently with clients to best serve their interests and advocate on their behalf.

James earned a Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Santa Clara University, magna cum laude. While in law school, James competed in selective Moot Court competitions and clerked for California Sixth District Court of Appeal Administrative Presiding Justice Mary J. Greenwood while she served as a Judge of the Superior Court of California. James has been recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Star.
