Ryan Alexander is a Partner in Selman Breitman’s Los Angeles office where he serves as Chair of the firm’s Commercial Transactions practice group. With more than 14 years of experience, he is skillful at assisting his clients throughout the business life cycle—from formation and fund-raising to operations, and divestiture. His clients include private equity funds and their portfolio companies, publicly-traded companies, and even small businesses and startup companies across a number of industries ranging from automotive, construction, and finance to real estate, all of whom praise him for his ability to provide a high-level of communication and results that suit their objectives.

Ryan routinely handles matters involving capitalization, governance, executive compensation, mergers, acquisitions, regulatory compliance, business restructuring, distribution, intellectual property licensing, and other general commercial transactions, as well as employment matters. His impressive score of successes for his clients include leading and completing hundreds of negotiations and transactions relating to securities offerings, financing, various commercial issues, licensing, entertainment, and real estate.

Uniquely positioned to benefit his clients, Ryan has represented each side of a variety of transactions, making him highly adept at understanding the requirements, limitations, and objectives of each perspective. This makes him keenly aware of the best negotiation strategy in each situation, and allows him to think and act decisively for his clients’ best interests.

Originally from Wichita Falls, Texas, Ryan lives in Los Angeles with his family and spends his free time enjoying fishing, hiking, and running, and teaching his girls to appreciate the adventure of being outdoors.
