Kristina Fretwell is a Senior Associate in Selman Breitman’s San Diego office and a member of the firm’s Insurance, Commercial Litigation, and General Liability practice groups. Kristina represents insurers in coverage disputes and litigation, including cases arising out of internet commerce, product liability, professional liability, and inter-insurer disputes. Her clients include regional, national and international insurance companies. Kristina also has experience representing regional and national home builders, commercial and residential contractors, specialty contractors, and design professionals in construction defect disputes.

Prior to entering the practice of law, she spent nearly a decade lobbying at the federal, state, and local levels of government, representing public and private entities in areas such as housing, education, taxation, and transportation. This experience, paired with her extensive experience in insurance, gives her a keen understanding of alternative dispute resolution and enables her to evaluate complex coverage issues and disputes.

A summa cum laude graduate of California Western School of Law (J.D.), Kristina is originally from Phoenix and earned her B.A. from the University of Arizona. She now resides in California with her husband Bob and their two English Bulldogs. When not helping clients with their legal needs, she spends her time dancing, baking, and enjoying the beautiful Southern California weather.
